Mesh Grabber

My dumb question for this quarter of 2021 is: how do I shut down the mesh grebber tool and yes, I did read the PDF. I've got it doing what I want it to but how do I get rid of the tool when I done making my changes. By the way I love the things that I can do with the tool.

It's a tool, like the rotation or translation tools. Just go to the Tools menu and select anything except Mesh Grabber.

I hotkey meshgrabber to P on my keyboard, hotkey T for translate

I can switch between them pressing P and T respectively, it makes using them much easier.

  • I've read the pdf and still can not figure out how to use it, any tutorials??

It's not that hard to use, just select the object you want to manipulate in the scene tab. If you accidently click off it to something in the background that may change som make sure you keep on the intended object. Whatever point you click on it will select a polygon. However you will also see a wire ball indicating the area of polygon influnce around that selected. You can paint around selecting multiple polygons or just the one. Then just drag the arrows or if you have the rotate option rotate them. This will deform the object mesh. You can change the influce area from just one polygon up to the entire object in the tool menu and change the falloff behaviour. It's really a super valuable tool and saves one from having spend all the time sending an object to hexagon or blender to do simple adjustments.
