How can you tell which shader is being used?

I'm probably missing the obvious, but is there a way to tell the name of the shader applied to an object? Right now I try to keep track as I go. The program knows what's applied to a surface, but I can't find the menu item that tells me the name or takes me back to the shader in the Content Library.

The name of the shader used is displayed at the top of the Surfaces pane, with the item selected of course.

Thanks, I see it now. But mostly the name comes up as:
    Material
    DAZ Studio Default
    OmUberSurface
    DT-ProjectionShader
I did get one called "Caustic Glass" for a shader preset called "Glass".

Is there a way to link back to the actual shader file in the Smart Content or Content Library? Or find the full name?

I did come up with a way to see what was applied by going to the Log File, as it lists the models and textures that are imported or added.

That is probably the only way to get the full name of the shader.

The presets are just settings, not actual shaders, so looking at the log file would be the only way I can think of doing it (and that won't actually tell you which item was the target).

Yes, the log just shows the shader file info when applied, not the surface to which it was applied. Also, if you open a saved scene, the log only refers to an appdata file that has settings but no reference to the original shader. So as long as I look at the part of the log which captures when I applied the shader, I can get the info I was looking for. That works for what I wanted.

    thanks for the help!

Any chance somebody has a master list showing each product in the store and which base shader it uses, if it doesn't say in the product description?

DAZ should have one. At least for the products they sell. Of course, 'should' is the operative word here. DAZ is still, after all these years, sorely lacking on relevant and/or updated documentation. Hope someone can come up with one, because it could help to track back a myriad number of error messages alone.

The Shader Mixer example glass shader shows as Caustic Glass, too.
