new laptop what version do i download

hi
i am going to giving my older laptop for my son and have remove daz studio 3 and 4 from it
and i cleaned everything and reformat everything , on my new laptop i would like to use daz studio 4

on my acount i have a daz studio 3 and the are other daz studio 4 versions
do i have do download daz studio 3 and studio up to daz studio pro ? will the gen figures 1 be added too ?

    You can have either or both versions (DS3 and DS47Pro) on your laptop (assuming you install to discrete locations). DS4 differs from DS3 in that the 'built-in' content no longer really is.
    Your content bought at DAZ should all be available from your Product Library and also via the DAZ Install Manager (DIM), so you should not lose anything there. The figures you get included with DS4 are Genesis and Genesis 2 Male and Genesis 2 Female, each of which as a separate install set, which along with the Lights and Shaders makes up the 'built-in' content.
    You probably do not need DS3, so I'd just start with DS47Pro, install it and the content and see how you go. DS3 may be useful if you find some content or old scenes that DS4 does not like - it is pretty good with backward compatibility but you may find a few things (very old content) that have issues.

    Don't forget to download and install the Genesis and Genesis 2 starter packs.
