Sickleyeilds sweat is all white.

When you use sickleyeilds sweat on 8.1 characters it is all white is there a script or product to change the UV from 8 to 8.1 please?? and also is it just the UV that needs changinging??

    no just the sweat geo it is only white on the torso tho

    Shader problem? One is iray uber vs the other iray pbr.. Or maybe it's the geoshell displacement value? Or it's because G8 torso is split into two areas in 8.1 ?

    i think it is geoshell because it is just the body section arms legs face are still good, is there a fix for the split body?

    I think you need to use G8 UV instead of G8.1 UV after this map transfer process though.

    Thanks CHWT that bottom one seemed interesting but it is all too complicated for me lol I'll wait for a 8.1 product to be sold lol thanks for the effort tho.

  • Could be the name difference in the surface tab between torso in G8 and body in G8.1 figures? Somehow is not recognising the difference.

    What I would do, (DISCLAIMER: I'm a noobie)

    1. load a G8 and apply the sweat in that figure,

    2. select the geoshell and go to the surface tab and locate the torso surface properties,

    3. right click and copy materials,

    4. then go to your G8.1 figure with the problem and select the geoshell

    5. then go to the body surface properties and,

    6. right click and paste properties. 

    not ideal but i think it  should do the job.

    I got it now nice one thanks guys.

     

    1 create your 8.1 char and a random 8 char

    2 apply geoshell to 8 char (this is the geoshell you actually want on the 8.1 char)

    3 use this script on 8.1 char to create a blank geoshell (https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/509891/batch-process-g8-geoshell-presets-to-g8-1 ; (at bottom of page))

    4 copy selected surfaces from geoshell on gen 8 char

    5 paste onto 8.1 geoshell created with the script

    6 copy selected surfaces from torso on the gen 8 geoshell

    7 paste onto genesis 8 legacy tab on the geoshell created with the script

    8 select 8.1 geoshell go to parameters and turn off the parts of the geoshell you don't want i.e. eyes, teeth, fingernails, toenails or any other bits you dont want.

    9 select the 8.1 character and save as wearable, saving the geoshell for 1 click future use

    10 delete gen 8 char if you want to and it should be done and working.
