Anyone know why my older DM product effects load at a zero opacity and don't look like the thumbnail

I've tried several different 'energy' globes or effects in my DM collection of fantasy goodies, and I never noticed a problem loading them before, but so far I've tried to load a few smoke props and a few magic spheres and all of them are loading invisible, and when I turn up the opacity, all I see is a primitive rather than the desired effect. Has anyone else have this problem?
As a side curiosity ... I've been manually re-installing them in hopes of it correcting the problem, and am noticing the usual dual Daz/Poser files are now just daz and every other software listed but poser ... so where did poser files go?

Which pack are you refering to?
Several ... DM legends, Mixed Fantasy, Arcum ... so far, everything I try.
If there's only a generic beveled cube primitive loading it means there's no geometry found in the file.
If the prop has its usual shape it means the materials are missing textures like opacity maps.
But yesterday I was downloading a few older Poser products and Poser files were available in DIM as usual.
Maybe it was because I was downloading manually. I'll try DIM ... thanks :)
You probably already checked this, but... Make sure you have the content directory called out under the Poser content as well as the DS content.
I've forgotten to do this in the past with older items and had the same issues you are describing.
called out?
I think he means make sure the directory is mapped in the content directories as both a DS folder as well as a Poser folder.
Yes, that's what I meant.
Older Poser products sometimes online have the icon in the DS format and the other files in the old Poser format. If you don't map the runtime as a Poser directory then DS won't see the geometry or textures.
