Looking for Cobra snake model

Looking for a realistic cobra snake model that has a morphing flaring hood. Something like this (photo courtesy of wiki commons File:Indian Cobra Naja naja by Dr Raju Kasambe DSCN4991 (19).jpg, free to distribute)

Something like this File:Indian Cobra Naja naja by Dr Raju Kasambe DSCN4991 (19).jpg I have the Morphing Python, and Cold Blooded but I haven't come across a cobra yet. "The Constrictor" is a boa type snake. Does anyone know where I might find such a model?

Doesn't exist. There was a static one that came with poser awhile back, but nothing current. There are some sweet models at Turbosquid and CGTrader, but they are at market value and not DAZ prices.

Wow! There's a mighty collection at the Squid.Thank you for the suggestion, as many of the cobras was just what I had in mind, but you warned me about the prices, yikes!

There is a cobra here: https://www.most-digital-creations.com/cobra.htm that is free.

However it is a static prop, so you would need to rig it yourself in order to pose it.

There's also the old, old, old SmithMicro Chinese Zodiac snake (cobra) for poser available at rendo. I wish the Daz/ Poser stores would release more reptile models or at least more real reptile morphs for the Dragon 3. I guess real-world snakes, iguanas, basilisks and monitor lizards just aren't cuddly...

I remember the site when I went there. It's a pretty good model with the flared hood. Free works! Thank you for pointing me there.

Thank you for suggesting the old Chinese Zodiac prop. It's currently on sale for a reasonable price.

I think DAZ has 3 products of relatively realistic snakes. What I intend to do is use in Egyptian scenes and also India scenes. I know there are different species for each continent, but I'll try suggestion and illusion to tuck in some of those morphable DAZ snakes in the shadow, with the cobra in full view with strategic shadows and light. This may suggest the other snake figures are cobras, too. I'll see how it goes. The other place has a nice set of 'lizards of the world' which go on sale often enough.

  • sorry, think I messed up the quote and inserted my text. Not sure how that red line with the old time return character works.

  • Isn't this something that Meshgrabber's

Would be good at?  Just get a snake model...

Thank you all for your suggestions!

Strange that there is not a single cobra among the hundreds of Egyptian and Indian items in this store....
