Basic Hair

i'm trying to put my first figure together, and the hair is not working properly. i'm using the basic hair and it's not even covering the full head. what am i doing wrong? i've tried all the different sliders but nothing gets the whole head covered. though when i highlight the hair it seems to be all there in the highlight, but not in the view.

    Did you select the figure before applying the hair?

    that's the Karl Genesis 8 figure with the Basic Hair which came with the program.

    i did select the hair, but, you know what, i'm not sure i selected the figure, too. i'll try that now.

    Hmm, I'm not seeing it in Starter essentials but it seems to be https://www.daz3d.com/basic-hair - that is for Genesis 2 Male, so it should open the AutoFit dialogue when you fit it to Genesis 8.1 Male and you can then say it was originally made for Genesis 2 Male.

    ok, thank you, Richard. that worked. it didn't open the dialogue box, but if i right-clicked on the name it offered the fit.
