What's up with Toy Piano?

I got a newsletter advertising a new weekly freebie called Toy Piano: http://www.daz3d.com/toy-piano. But it shows up as $9,07 - what's wrong? A screenshot is attached below.

It is free with purchase or free to PC members. It's hard to see but look in the lower left of the image

Then shouldn't it be written openly? I go to the mailbox, see the newsletter, click, the link doesn't fit the information provided, so I take a screenshot and go here.

    EDIT

Your screenshot has the small print... What's wrong with my mailbox then?

Don't know. Maybe it is the way the image is displayed in your browser. Anyway, compared to mine, it looks like your screen shot is more cropped.

I don't know how they do that, but the guys at the marketing department are somehow able to correct a newsletter. Possibly through the web version. It did happen once that the contents of the newsletter changed. I guess that's the problem.

Speaking of newsletters, how do I sign up for those? I go to messages in my account, click on newsletters, and nothing shows up.

The newsletter doesn't contain the actual image you see. It just contains a web link to the image on the DAZ servers. In this case, that link is (http://www.daz3d.com/newsletter/2015/special/02-24fantasyandfuture/freebie.jpg). They can, and do, change that image whenever they want to, so what you originally see the first time you read the email message is not always what you get the next time you look at it. That is what happened to you. They goofed up, and they fixed it later.

The image Charlie posted was there when I first read the newsletter and that was several hours before anything was posted here. Around 9:00am gmt.

Are you sure you got all of the banner in your image? It looks as if part of the asterisk to a foot note is just visible in the screenshot, though the text is quite small and easy to miss if you aren't expecting it.

If you compare the images in the first two posts it is clear the first one is severely cropped. Do you have this problem with other emails? Perhaps you should switch to a better email application.

I'm sure I saw what Cecilia posted when I first read the DAZ email, because I was expecting to see "free for PC", and I noticed that there wasn't any caveat at all. I didn't make a screen shot, though. l'm in Seattle this week and probably read the message shortly after it was received, around 11:40 pm local time (12:40 am DAZ time). The order confirmation email for the purchase arrived at 11:53 pm local time.

I use Outlook 2007 on the PC and the android Email app on the phone. Both now show Charlie's version. I never have any image cropping issues with them that I am aware of. So something changed somewhere. (Or I'm blind or crazy %-P) But at least I'm not alone!

Anyway, the original question has been well answered, I think.

Ah, so the text on the image is still wrong. I got it free without purchasing anything else. Originally I thought it was free for everyone, then I assumed it was free without purchase because I am a PC+ member, but it doesn't say anything about it being free for PC, either. So the conditions for getting it free are still confusing, I guess.

So it is another falsely advertised non-freebie, since a purchase is required unless you're a PC member.... figures.
You do realise that once a purchase is required, it is no longer a freebie, right?

It is advertised as requiring a purchase so there is no false advertising involved.

This was spotted and reported early yesterday morning, but because they do not edit newsletters once they have been despatched it has been amended in today's PC newsletter.
