At that point, isn't it more economically feasible to buy a graphics card? That thing is overkill. I think many of us would be happy to find a CPU on par with a high-end graphics card, but probably still need a decent graphics card to get real-time preview

The highest core desktop CPU the 64C/128T Threadripper 3990X, is over 5,000$  The highest core server CPU the 3rd generation Epyc 7763 Also 64C/128T is around 8,000$. The forthcoming top end Gen 4 Epyc is purported to have 96C/192T and will support 12 memory channels.

Like a bad infomercial "wait, there's more" their future Turin generation (2024 release) is expected to boast 256 cores and 512 threads which is in the range, thread count wise, of the GTX 500 and 600 series.

There will never be a CPU that performs these particular tasks faster than a price-equivalent GPU. 

Even now, with GPU prices vastly over inflated, you still get way more performance per dollar with a GPU. I run a threadripper 3960x, and a GPU that cost half as much as my threadripper (that i bought during the current GPU market), is probably something between 3-5 times faster at rendering than my threadripper. 

That will hold true for super computer level hardware too. But these things are not built for the same tasks we are talking about.

You'll also need to upgrade your financial portfolio to the Bill Gates category. Needless to say, it would be a terrible & tragic waste to use such a thing for rendering Daz, Poser, etc., content. Its not even worth turning it into a render farm for iray & selling rendering services.
