Daz Studio 4.15 pro File structure

If I go to the Daz Studio folder and open it, there are what you would call the usual file folders. such as bin, displays, lib, resources etc.

Great,

But there are also dozens of "loose" files, many dll that do not seem to belong there.

Is there somewhere a listing of the file listing and hieracy that is supposed to be in the folder?

Thank you

  • Assuming you installed through Install Manager, right-click on the Daz Studio application entry in the Installed tab and select Show Installed Files.Plug-ins and scripts will not usually add anything to the application root directory, but if you are looking at sub-folders you should do the same with plug-ins and sahders, at least the older ones.

Multiple problems over years with install etc, also scripts etc that were purchased were installed manually.

I have a total of 28 runtime folder each containing over 40gbs of products

I have 30 Poser Runtimes ( dating back to the year of the flood.

I just resolved a major problem with a goz app.that took over yhree days

To sum up:my Daz Studio is massive.

In a lot of cases when new version was installed, would copy and paste parts of older version.

All of this is my own doing and my fault.

    Surprisingly it works well......considering.

What I would like to try and do is to clean up the installation. To do this I need to know the folder and hierchy layout of the program

A fresh one would be ideal but brings up problems as mentioned.

A list of the folders that should be there would be a great place to start

Surely there must be some type of listing

    Thank you
