Can anyone help me find older female characters for Genesis 2?

There seem to be a lot of younger and older ones, but nothing much between, and I need a 30-50ish age for a project.

This is pushing the upper limit of the age boundary but might be suitable for my needs (http://www.daz3d.com/fw-joanie-hd), but is there anything else? I am not really seeing much in the store.

How well do the aging morphs (http://www.daz3d.com/aging-morphs-2-bundle-hd) work? Would I have to create custom textures?

    I got this yesterday but haven't tried it yet. It's got nice subtle lines that add to aging, and I think would be within that age range.

    The aging morphs are great...well, I haven't used the Genesis 2 ones yet (I just bought them recently), but the Genesis ones are great and the HD version I've heard is even better. They can be used with any texture, especially if you use them in small doses to create a middle-aged character.

    Joanie's a really nice character too, and can represent a very wide age range.

    How does this look to you?

    It's a quick render of V6 with Zev's aging morphs partially dialed in, as well as a few of the DAZ face morphs to make the cheeks less full.


    The one other main thing is that I've made my own morph for the laugh lines the aging morphs have one, but its not as defined as I wanted. I don't no why the main genesis morphs don't have one its a super common facial feature and IMO `the easiest way to make a character look older without making them look 90.

    One other thing, If you do end up using Zev's morphs (or Joanie) you should probably turn down the Subsurface Scattering, as it kills corners and will wash out the wrinkles. The texture I'm using is the one that came with V6 HD and I turned the SSS down to 60%

    She's too old anyway so your brain probably automatically filtered her out. :-)

    Anything older than Joanie is. Still, "apparent age" is subjective so I'm not upset that all of the alternatives (except the morph packs, which are of, course, adjustable) are over the age limit. We probably just all have different estimates of age based on appearance so I can't complain.

    Don't forget you can also use full characters at less than full strength, Jonie can easily look 35 if you dial her morphs at 1/2 strength.

    Thanks. If I decide to go ahead with this project I probably will get Joanie and the age morphs pack.

    'Old Hag' or not - Greta just found employment at Elowan's House of Magery. Apparently she makes great halushki. :smirk:

    I recommend the aging morphs, too. I've been having a blast playing with Zevo's aging morphs. They are all dial spun so you can get the exact look that you want. You can add wrinkles, soften the skin so that it droops a little or a lot. You can even get the breasts and butt to droop and also have that little waggle of droopy skin under the arms. Match that with a good older skin with blemishes and you are all set.

    Skins I have and like are the Joanie and Greta the Old Hag both G2 skins that were mentioned. These are wonderful skins for any older character. I've played around and gotten nice looks in the 40 - 50 range and some really nice ones in the over 70 crowd using those two skins and Zevo's aging morphs.

    I also have FSWA MeMoo HD which is a lovely character with built in aging morphs that you can apply to any other G2 character that you working on. https://www.daz3d.com/fwsa-memoo-hd She also has a Mrs. Claus makeup option which looks nice. I've even used this and added a few things with Zevo's morphs and they work great for a totally great older character.

    Uncle Albert for M4 is a nice skin for the guys. (I have found a few other really nice ones for the guys over on those other sights as well.) I have not found a really good old skin for V4 yet.

    I've been working on some vignette's with the Moonshine Diner and needed a bunch of older characters. I've used just the Joanie and Greta skins with Zevo's morphs and have gotten about eight ladies so far and they all look totally different. Their age span goes from 50s to about 80s. I highly recommend them.
