GoZ not working after "upgrade"

twallingtwalling Posts: 241

I noticed in my DIM that I had an upgrade available for GoZ, and, foolishly, I installed it.

Now my daz-zbrush bridge no longer works.

I can transfer models TO zbrush, but when I hit the "goz" button in zbrush, it doesn't send it back to Daz.

I have zbrush 4r7 and Studio 4.7

I went into zbrush and under preferences>goz made sure my path to Daz Studio was the correct one.

Any thoughts? I'm really regretting this "upgrade"

Reading though older forum posts, I've seen a solution where one reinstalls Daz Studio, and that seems to have worked.

That wasn't necessary to reinstall. Next time an update is made, you simply need to point GoZ back to DAZ Studio from within ZBrush. Under Preferences, GoZ there is an option to set the path to DAZ Studio. It gets wiped out everytime you have a GoZ update.

I had reset that path, and it didn't do anything. I tried that several times, in fact.

Re-installing Studio did the trick though.

Completely unrelated... I just got your M4 to G2 Male product today, it's great... thanks for making it!

Now it crashes if I make a morph target on a subtool.

The object and the subobjects all transfer over to xbrush just fine, but when I use "goZ" to send it back to Studio, it crashes.

    Very frustrating.
