Every time I render a sequence of 10 - 20 frames on the timeline I get a DLL crash during render. My impression is it is a memory leak? However there is tonnes of free memory only 33% is used on last crash This has been going on for weeks and I have looked for answers and tried everything.

The crash is : DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\Windows\system32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_b7184c0e1c94c102\nvcuda64.dll"

I'm on a newly built 11th gen i7 machine, doing iray render, the RTX 3060 drivers have been updated, there is 32 GB of RAM, the motherboards BIOS has been flashed.

I did have DLL issues in other software when I built it but updating the bios fixed the other 2 programs to 100% reliable.

Daz only seems to have problems during iray render for my set up now. Rebooting the machine makes it better for a time but the problem comes back. It do at least save before I render and it loads up things very fast in under a minute with one Genesis 3 in the scene. All drives are m2 gen 3 - 4.

It does seem to crash a lot more if I do anything else like even look at the newly rendered pictures in explorer- which seems stupid to me it has 16 cores and way more resources than my old machine which is not available to me (-close border-)

  • Calling it a "DLL crash" is a little confusing. It does seem to eb driver/GPU related, in the CUDA module (which is a part that handles the IRay rendering). Have you tried rolling back to slightly older drivers?
