Missing Serial Numbers (Solved)

I dusted off Genesis Generation X2 this morning, installed it, then couldn't find it. Remembered that it was its own window. Tried to add the window, no luck. Then checked the Serial Numbers and saw that I needed to enter the SN.
When I checked my SN panel on the DAZ site, this purchase was missing. Has anyone run into this before?
I already opened a ticket and provided my order number, so I am waiting on a reply.

My account has a serial number for "Genesis Generation X", but none of the addons. The about installed plugins shows "Genesis Generation X2" with the green plug icon. That is the only plugin I see installed for GenX. My GenX pane opens fine. Do you have a SN for "Genesis Generation X" and have you tried it?
Yep. I bought X1 and X2, plus the add ons for X2.
I have a serial number for X1 and tried it on the X2 entry, but it was rejected.
This is what I am seeing:
I know I have used it in the past, so I know it worked previously. I also recall not to install X1 if using X2 because of conflicts.
Kind of worried that since the PA is no longer with us, this is going to end up being an issue.
Do you only have a single serial number in your Daz account?
I have two - both claim to be "Generation X" (not X2) but one of them works. I kept a record of the serial numbers issued when I originally bought GenX and the new serial number issued when I later bought GenX2, so I know which is which.
If you have two entries, have you tried them both? And if you only have one and it doesn't work then I think you'll need to wait for that Support Ticket to go through.
Just have the one number, but now that you mention that I recall having something similar before too. Thank you for refreshing my memory.
I agree, I am kind of resigned to wait on Support. Which is a headache since it derails my project for the day. Such is life I guess.
Support got back to me and asked me to try the previous serial number again. Which worked this time. Why? I have no idea. Since I cut and pasted it from the DAZ site the first time, then pasted it directly into the support ticket.
For whatever reason, this time around it took it.
I wonder if they changed the serial number in your account, so that the next time you cut and pasted it, it was different.
I thought that too, but it can't be. I copied and pasted it from the support ticket, I didn't go back to my serial numbers.
I swear that the first time I did it... I opened the plug in window, I opened my serial numbers, copied, then pasted. The arrow stayed gray and wouldn't let me off the plug in page until I deleted it. I then opened the support ticket and pasted the serial right into it, while it was still in memory.
This time around I opened the plug in page after reading the support reply (in ticket form, not email). Copied it from my original message (not the support reply, even though it looked the same), pasted it into the plug ins window and the arrow immediately turned green. And I got the usual "you have to exit and reopen to activate message."
I only have two theories...
One is that there was special codes hidden in the serial number page that got carried over during the copy and paste. Then they got stripped out when it was pasted into the ticket and copied back out.
The other is that support corrected the serial number on the server side, which doesn't seem likely as Studio wouldn't have had a way to reach out and check the serial number for validity. I wasn't "logged in" inside Studio.
A mystery, but at least it is working! Support was in top form to reply to you so quickly!
I had the same thing happen recently with one of my plugins and had to copy it from the SN# spreadsheet and it worked.
Yep, everything is working now.
Now I just have a new issue; all of the troubleshooting (and cursing) appears to have broken my dForce Assistant plug in. I am not going to worry about it for the moment though, since it was a nice to have window, not an essential one.
