Is 3Delight in Daz|Studio the same as the commercial 3Delight?

The renders from the standalone version of 3Delight seem better than Daz|Studio.
Is the version in Daz|Studio limited in some way, or am I just not very good with it? Apart from the docs on 3Delight's website, is there anything else I should read?

It's not the very latest version, though it isn't enormously behind, and it doesn't support network rendering (for which of course you would pay a pretty sum with the stand-alone application). However the shaders do not necessarily use all of the advanced features - though most are available - and the default Render Settings are not optimised for quality over speed. You can always render to RIB and then use the stand-alone version.
There are some long threads discussing 3Delight, shaders and using the stand-alone version.
