DS getting stuck everytime I try using dForce on OnlyDress

Hi all,

 

I return to you experts with a new problem:

Everytime I try to use dForce on https://www.daz3d.com/only-dress-for-genesis-8-female , my DS is getting stuck.

I have used dForce on much more complicated dresses, so I really not sure what the problem is here. It isn't even exploding or anything. The program just gets stuck.

Anyone with this dress able to use dForce on it?

Any ideas on what I could do to simulate it?

    Just tried that dress, dForce freezes at 3%. Cancelling is done via crashing the program.

    It is not being sold as a dForce dress; not all clothing is suitable for use with dForce.

    Thank you for such a quick response.

    I was aware, in theory that there are such clothes, but this is the first I have encountered where it can't even simulate (regardless of how it would look after it does).

    The gather in the front bottom might be the problem. Add a weight map to the dress and paint the influence weight in that area to zero and see if it helps. Also, sometimes it helps to set the dForce collision offset to 0.05.

    I bought this dress mistakenly thinking it would be dForce (most dresses are these days). It has been sitting in my Library for a few weeks but I tried to use it today and found that I can't even add dForce because of the reasons described above. I tried the suggestion and added a weight map in that area to no avail. A few seconds into the simulation it freezes.

    Like all conforming clothing, it is fine in zero pose or close to that but anything more complex and the cloth looks completely unnatural. One of these days I will learn to try my purchases before the 30 day period expires.
