Reflections in crystal balls?

OKay, so I am attempting to recreate an old image I made, in Reality, using Iray and when I was looking at it I realized one of the things that always bugged me about it but I was never able to pinpoint. The reflection in the crystal ball. It's right side up. If I use glass shaders to get the reflections in the crystal ball in iray, will it be right side up, or properly upside down? And if its rightside up is there anyway besides post work to fix that?

My refraction is upside down. I am using the newest version of Studio released yesterday 4.16.0.3

A crystal ball has a convex surface, so any reflection would be the right way up (refraction wouldn't).  It's concave surfaces which invert reflections.

At least my reflection in the teapot is the right way up; it just gives me a big nose.

Edit: I guess you meant refraction, sorry.

Exactly...the reflections would be right side up and the refraction upside down. But the reflections wouldn't show much until something was really close to the glass surface. The refraction will show from far away. :)

There's an option in the Uber shader that will flip reflections. Backscatter weight, I think.

They've always been upside down in real life that I've saw.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate the input. Margrave, I will look into that it might be useful for a couple of different things, thinking about it. MarkGoode77, yeah, sorry I am so bad about mixing up those two words.  Also AllenArt, that is fricking gorgeous!

Thanks. It's free :) There is a sphere inside the crystal ball for effects. If you want clear, just make sure the cutout opacity on the inner sphere is 0.0 :)
