did you install it with D|S open? If so you borked it so uninstall and make sure you close DAZ studio first!!! and reinstall it again
you'll have to excuse me, I don't have my mac in front of me and I don't use Studio on it; this is a guess:
MacOS applications write settings files in several places on the hard drive. in some instances throwing these files in the trash can reset the applications, in some cases issues with an external display can cause a problem:
if you have an external display:
Disconnect it. Reboot. Open Studio. Reconnect the display
If you don't have an external display or if the display disconnect did not solve the problem remove the Daz Studio application from your computer:
the locations below assume your hard drive is named "Macintosh HD", but you may have named it something else, [your account] is the name on the account you logged in with, it's usually visible in the upper right hand corner of your menu bar, it can also be found in your Macintosh HD/Users folder with the name and an icon that looks like a house, not a folder
Macintosh HD/Users/[your account]/My Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio\My Library
then your uninstallers folder is here:
MacHD/Users/[your account]/My Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library/Uninstallers
reinstall Daz Studio, open it.
If that doesn't work quit out of Daz Studio and locate and remove any file that may be named com.daz.com, com.studio.com, com.dazstudio.com,etc. any folder named Daz, Studio, etc. and move to the trash. .
The files can appear in a number of hard drive locations including ones I don't have listed below:
Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences
Macintosh HD/Users/[your account]/Documents
Macintosh HD/Users/[your account]~Library/Preferences
(you can access this folder by holding down OPTION and going to the GO list in the Finder (Desktop) menu bar)
Macintosh HD/Shared/Applications/
there may be a file/folder beginning "Daz" or "Studio" or something similar
Do you still have the base menus, including Window? If so Window>Workspace>Select layout should let you revert to one of the defaults (or your own previously saved layout).
