I think the main promo on the 70s Modern House has probably had the Tone Mapping settings tweaked to exaggerate the contrast, and has very strong directional light with weaker fill lights. Some tonala djustment may be post-work, that is allowed to adjust the overall look of an image as long as it isn't changing the actual product details.
Also there is a good chance that the light's being used while possibly post worked, they are in all probability the PA's own custom lights they use for promo's. Most PA's have light sets they created for different scenarios for strictly promo use.
In respect to the 70s house images, I'm pretty sure that was post work for the color effects... if it were me, I'd have used Filter Forge to give it that vintage color film look... Filter Forge has a number of filters in the Photo Effects section that could reproduce that look... Seventies Analog Emulsion and LOMO are two that come to mind (I don't know if those are the exact names or the ones used)... there are around 900 filters in Photo Effects section, so there are lots of possibilities.
EDITED TO ADD...
Here are a couple of filters that might yield similar results... keep in mind that with Filter Forge you can dial back effects and tweak results and even take an image output from one filter and run it through another to create a totally different look, so even if it's done in FF, the thumbnails might not fully represent whatever was used.
