Genesis 8.1 Facial Pose Control

I'd like to know, if I'm not the only one who finds Genesis 8.1 facial pose control unintuitive, missing fine tuning, badly organized/ordered and generally a step back even thought it's "FACS!!!". Some of the mouth poses should have negative values, even if -50%. For example "Mouth Roll Lower", it's possible to roll lower lip down and not only up in reality. It's nice that it simulates facial muscles, but what if there's finger involved in pulling lip down etc. I don't really get separate settings like "Mouth Left" and "Mouth Right", also missing slider to pose both "Brow Outer Up Left/Right" at the same time.

  • I tend to agree with you, the facial poses for Genesis 8.1 are lacking badly, and a step backward. Posing the face for Genesis 8 is much easier, and with the products you can buy to add to that, it's just much simpler to use a Genesis 8 model if you're going to be doing much facial posing.

For things like the finger pulling you need to pose the pinched fingers and drill down into the face rig bones and pose them carefully as individual bones.
