The expression-less 8.1

I have a problem with the 8.1 characters. They do not respond to any expressions applied to them. I keep selecting head and I keep selecting whole figure still nothing happens when I try to apply expressions to them. And their face in general are very rigid. Mouth won't open, eyes and brows have very few options to work with et cetera. What am I missing?

Expressions made for G8 won't work on G8.1 by default as Daz introduced a new expression system for 8.1.

I'd get used to learning the new FACS based expression system as it's more realistic and easier to use ultimately, although it ends support for the older expression system and it's products that came with Genesis 8.
