@Lyoness, thank you so much for the beautiful flannel nightie today, it's my favorite freebie ever!

    haha. ok. you are welcome

Seriously, no kidding! I LOVE old-style clothing, and this is so detailed even, with those little frills. Adorable!

I'm trying to create a scene with the nightgown, but when I simulate it, it is breaking up, like polygons aren't welded or something. Does anyone else see something like this?

I fit the nightgown to the base G8F. I applied the two simulation settings in the product. I simulated with G8F still in the default A pose. This is a view of the front yoke area where the trim connects.

    This is before simulation.

This is after simulation. There is a polygon in the yoke that appears to be connected only on one edge and is loose like a flap. The edge of the lace that should be connected is all jagged and broken looking. I haven't seen any simulation result like this before, and I don't know how to fix it. Is it like a dForce mesh explosion or a fault in the original mesh?

    Nobody Likes Mornings

(I used Mesh Grabber to pull the vertices of the loose yoke polygon flap back into position. I ignored the lace separation. It is too small to see here.)

granny looks lovely and warm in her flannel

that pixel is not actually a fault as she obviously caught it on something, you just darned it for her.cheeky

  • Absolutely lovely gifts, very versatile and I am sure they will come in handy. I think I missed one that I was excited for, but oh well. Generous as always, thank you PAs!

That's a pity, could one maybe try to hide the lace while simulating? Or maybe @Lyoness will be so nice to give us a clue what's going on?

    Christmas Candy Poses and Props

I ran into a little trouble with these poses. They apply the pose to G8F in Frame 0, instead of in the timeline frame I have selected. I wonder why.

Thank you to all the PAs for all the great holiday gifts this year, your generosity will not be forgotten!

Egh... that sounded ominous... like something some evil overlord villain might say... "Your generosity... will not be forgotten..."

I guess you'd have to say that in a British accent and a low gravelly voice... not too Darth Vader, not too Saruman... maybe a little Vodemort... for full effect...

If you were trying to sound ominous... which I'm not...

    I'm genuinely appreciative.

But still... Thank you for all the amazing gifts your hard work and generosity will not be forgotten and you alone shall be spared for your kindness!

Woah... I don't know where that came from... that definitely didn't sound right...

I don't even have to say that one out loud to know that sounded ominous...

I actually was wringing my hands after I wrote that, and cackling madly... It's probably this cursed cloak of foreboding I'm wearing...

I got it years ago from a little shop on main street that sold monkey paws and other interesting knick-knacks... not Nick Nack, the henchman of the bond villain Scaramanga, but collectible decorations... like monkey paws and other mildly cursed objects.

I put it in a box years ago and wrote "Never, never, never wear! Evil cursed cloak! Burn ASAP!" all over it, but I guess I never got around to burning it... I'm a bit lazy about stuff like that sometimes... generally I do like burning stuff though.

I should probably take off this cloak... but it's kind of cold in here and my sweatshirt is all the way across the room...

    Anyway...

Thank you all for the great gifts!

Phew... that took some effort to not mess up.

    Oh, and...

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Thanks for the feedback! I've fallen behind on rendering the last several gifts, because I've been sick. I'll try to catch up when I'm feeling better. Don't think I don't appreciate those unrendered items!
