Is bundle-fatigue a thing? I think I've got it

Why is everything a bundle nowdays? Whatever happened to the old days of just putting up a product and slapping a price on it?

If Daz releases related products and there's no bundle, people ask why there isn't one. If Daz releases lots of bundles, people complain that there are too many of them...
Exactly what Leana says. I happen to agree about the urge to bundle everything in the past, but it's what people asked for.
Well, I'm in a sci-fi mood lately, so the these bundles are at least in the category where I consider the bundle for what it is.
I generally LIKE more mini-bundles better than the mega-duper bundles lately. That's just my opinion.
I'd rather have more, smaller bundles than fewer/more $$$ mega bundles.
I remember quite a few posts about bundles - especially those of named figures - being filled with too much "filler products" and people asking for more "build your own bundle" offers, instead of getting served tons of "kinda like theme-ish" assortments of stuff that might or not might be fitting to the "bundle's" name/theme.
But hey, maybe I am wrong and that happened in an altenate universe...
I really don't see a problem with this; the items are all there just like in the old days, while the bundle offers the chance to get all/most of the daily releases at a better price for anyone who wants them.
I looked at the forum incognito mode to view the subforum I have hidden.
one brief read through the posts there cured me of any temptaion to buy stuff bundled or not.![cheeky cheeky](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/tongue_smile.png)
I think it's a question of what's in the bundle. Today's Gyrowheel Spin Bundle has very little to do with Gyrospinning. Well you have a wheel/outfit and a couple of poses, the rest of the stuff is completely unrelated. I'd rather seen an outfit for the men too, and poses for the men, then shaders and perhaps some related item to go with it, like bags and backpacks and perhaps a street corner vignette. Now it feels again quite random.
I was going to say the same thing. Lots of fluff in that bundle. So, the boys don't get to play with the gyrowheel in a nifty bodysuit? Okay, I suppose any one will do, but the H.Poses will need to be re-worked to apply properly (root element, and all that).
I think it depends on the bundles and what you've already bought. For character based bundles there comes a time when you ask if you really want another tough warrior/glamorous model/whatever however great they are. For more content based ones it depends on what sort of pictures you want to make. I went for yesterday's cyberpunk one, and today's one looks good but I don't feel the urge to make pictures of someone on a unicycle. I'm sure people who do will make some great pictures with it.
I'm always thrilled to se ANYTHING male. This site was making such headway in the male direction and suddenly POOF! The men dried up and now they'e more female-centric than they ever were. It's depressing.
No bundles for me - other than the few occasionally offered at huge discounts like 85% or better. Generally, they are stuffed with things I would never buy so why waste money just to get one or two items that I might use? I'd rather wait for sales on the individual items.
@Peter Wade is correct though - the type of picture we make is a determining factor. I don't make fantasy themed images as in historical or sci-fi fantasy. Mine are more contemporary and day-to-day normal scenes. That's not subject matter amenable to bundles, I guess.
I've definitely stopped buying every bundle that's released once the new bundle structure happened. I feel I was able to get a ton of stuff that was across the board with the old pro bundles and so I have a lot of things to kitbash, but now that is rare to be an option since they're so focused. So now it's really a matter of I look at the bundle and if the cost of the items I want is the same or more than the bundle price, I pick it up as one, otherwise I just cherry pick.
I'm sure bundle-fatigue might be a thing, what with blue testicles and all. But hookup culture has probably eliminated the need for bundling, which is too bad. Bundling provided a safe way for a young man and woman to spend the night together without the fear of pregnancy. So, I say, the more bundles, the better.
What annoys me are bundles of an item where you (for all intents and purposes) need to buy the bundle to get the item to work...like why make it a bundle at that point?
...I rarely buy bundles because of what some others mention about the inclusion of unrelated items thematically, while character based bundles, the often include products I likely would not use as I have little interest in certain genre.
Wish the Gyro Wheel would have been a standalone item by itself rather than including the bodysuit (the wheel could have been be a Daz+ item as well).
Though would like to see more BYOB specials where we could make up our own bundle.
Also don't like having to buy a bundle to unlock addditional discounts and other special offers.
I don't buy bundles too often, mostly because there's usually only one or two things in the bundle that I'll actually use, and the rest will probably sit in my library collecting dust. I've only bought a handful of bundles over the last year. Sometimes a new bundle comes out that features some old products thrown in and I either own the old products or they're something that really doesn't appeal to me in the way the new stuff does. There are a lot of bundles and I'm ok with that. At least that gives me an option if I want most of the new releases at a discount.
My biggest problem with bundles is when there's multiple and the products I want are spread among them. I have to make some tough decisions. Or go broke.
