Dynamic bullet physics

Hey all, I'm actually not sure where to bring up this topic. It may not even be something to discuss here on a Daz forum. But I've been trying to use Poser10's bullet physics with a Daz character that I sort of created with morphs. For some reason I can get the bullet physics to work perfectly for one breast, but as soon as I try to paint the weight on the second breast it starts to go into this terrible twitching. And then it explodes, the breasts whipping about like one of those air clowns you see outside of a car lot! Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for the help.

Yes, you didn't make a video of this, it sounds hilarious!
Seriously, I am not sure exactly. Bullet physics on breasts???
Honestly, that "physics" engine is terrible. I gave up on using it. Nice idea, poorly executed. :blank:
Yes, this video needs to be made.
+1
Bullet physics is a good physic engine used in many commercial softwares, movies and games. I don't have poser so I don't know if it is badly implemented but the engine in itself is good. See Bullet Wiki

The engine isn't bad for what it is, note it is also in Carrara 8+ Pro. Last time I checked though it has a stability limit at around 200,000 tris, which means if you are knocking down dominoes, or sinking pool balls it shouldn't have too many issues, but when you start throwing Poser/DS content at it, things tend to go weird.

Oh that I know, but the way it was implemented in Poser, was really not up to scratch. When Poser announced they have Physics I was all excited, only to be left feeling frustrated lol..
Sorry to hear that
Thanks for the quick replies. I'll try to figure out a way to make a video of this. I'm still quiet new to all the 3d stuff.
Easiest way is with a screen capture utility. That way you can show exactly what you are doing, and what the figure does when you DO do that, and it doo doos.
I'm not sure how Poser has implemented Bullet,,,
But what is your base figure and what morphs are you applying before attempting to add the physics. If by chance, the morphs are working on both breasts at the same time, applying the physics to the second one may be multiplying (or squaring, even) the effect on the first one. You may have to apply the physics to both as a unit...or maybe try it the other way around...apply the physics first, then morph.
And I thought the Jello-jiggle went out at the end of the 70s....
We've got Bullet in Carrara, works well for hardbody physics and ok for most softbodies including cloth with a workaround that Stringtheory came up with, but I never would have thought to use Bullet for the breasts before, maybe I'll have to give it a test to find out. Sparrowhawke has a plugin called 'Jiggle' that works pretty well for things like breasts, perhaps that's why it never occurred to me to try to use Bullet in such a fashion.
And that my friends was the origin of the saying "calm your tits".
The image of this visual has me laughing myself senseless. Definitely one of the better examples of boobs physics gone horribly wrong.
...oy,, shouldn't have opened this thread. The end result in the OP is bound to give me bad dreams tonight.
there was a test project of bullet in dazstudio, but the project seems stopped and the devs disappear.
Bullet in dazstudio
and the results the same as what 's available in poser today,
disappointingly.
