Hair I purchased not showing Iray preview.

I purchased these hairs

https://www.daz3d.com/curly-buns-for-genesis-8-females

https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-ayaan-hair-for-genesis-8-females

and

https://www.daz3d.com/mrl-curly-ponytail-for-genesis-8-female-with-color-mixing

I'll load them onto my G8 figure and in my Iray viewport, it just looks like my characters have male pattern baldness or they are just bald with some texture from the hair on their head.   The Hairs show up in the renders Just not in The Iray preview

ANY help would be appreciated

Curly Buns and Ayaan hair are both dForce hair, which by default doesn't appear in Iray preview in order to save memory. You can enable it by going into Simulation in the parameters pane (with the hair itself selected, not the haircap) and setting Preview PR Hairs to "on". You may also need to turn up the viewport line tesselation to at least 1. Be advised that dForce hair can put quite a strain on your system if you preview it, which, again, is why it's turned off by default.

edit: It wasn't entirely clear to me before whether Curly Ponytail was dForce, but I just re-read the description, and it is.

Well, I just returned ths as the description specifically states:

"This pair of strand-based Curly Buns for Genesis 8 Female was made utilizing dForce hair technology". That's the only mention of dForce.

It is NOT strand based but rather dForce as you've discovered. It not showing in Iray preview was actually my first clue.

How long does it take to correct a product description that's blatantly in error?  It's comming up on TWO YEARS now!

There's no error, just ambiguity in the terminology. dForce hair is strand-based, but strand-based hair is not necessarily dForce hair.
