So in other words my naming of the thread was due to luck

Congrats on the thread, Rezca. I like the title. That's exactly how I feel about ice and snow. Looks like we had a good number of watchers for the split. :-)

My prediction that I'd be asleep when the thread rolled over was right it seems :)

I wonder if animals built for handling the snow hate it as well. Probably not, unless it's in huge excesses.
Meet the Yutyrannus, a dinosaur seemingly built for living in cold areas. I think he looks quite regal here, like a dragon or something!

Pretty positive I've posted this before, but during warmer times...

Indeed - a landline will work even in a power outage - which is why we keep a phone plugged is - like you...
I do not own a cell phone, and have absolutely no need or desire to own one, or God forbid - a soi disant "smart" phone..

and in line with the thread title - I've seen worse when I was working..

wowww :bug: is that Boston? :)

Boston? Can't you see the mountains in the background? Wherever it is, I'd expect a lot of snow...

I have piles in my yard that are as tall or taller than I, just from me shoveling...no plows involved. That is something I do not expect in my area. Snow, yes. Mountains of snow, no.

However, there was a little bit of melting today, a very little. Still, it was only 22F at 4:30.

...congratulations on winning the thread Rezca

Happy however many trips around the central stellar primary you made, Frye. Best wishes for a quick recovery. Missed seeing the illos from your story.

Thanks for all the happy b-day wishes, everyone.

As for my story, I had a technical problem with a scene which then crashed into a brick wall but I must be starting to feel better as my Muse woke up at long last with ideas for my art story. Well, she's been awake but more fixated on my written stories and tapping her foot very impatiently as I limp along with my bad double vision. I'm hoping to get something in the works in the near future. I'm probably going to have to break the silence though.

@Annie - Four day weekend to try to dump some stress - work has been stupid stressful and I need to get away before you read about me in the news. :ahhh: Weather should be in the 50s and 60s, I have some extra money to go party with, and maybe a new uhh "gentleman's club" to go explore! :vampire:

Anyway, I'm off to hit the bank, feed, booze shop, then come home and render before I head back out (maybe). I might just order Chinese and chill at home today and save my dashing-about and exploring for tomorrow.

    See y'all later! :)

In theory I have a two and a half week weekend now, but who knows what will come up next or when....

I have a copper wire line and an ancient phone with bells. Works even when the power grid is down and takes the cell towers with it (which can be a weekly occurrence up here along the Bluffs in winter).
I have two tin cans and a string.

I don't think so. Take that snow and melt it and it would be considerably less in volume.

It would depend on how dense the chrystals are packed I guess, in that picture the snow looks really compressed but the stuff that comes out of snow machines on the ski slopes there is very powdery. Even if the snow in that pic was 1% of water density that would still be a fair weight to shovel all at once

Swordgon... Big blue dinosaur-like dragon with sharp pointy things on its head and tail :)

I really like this guy, always have liked him since seeing the handsome thing back in the Gameboy Color release of this game so many years back. Seeing him in full 3D is pretty cool ^^

Fruitbats? Reminds me one of the new Pokemonz was a dragon inspired by a fruit bat crossed with a wyvern :) Behavior and diet from the bat-half hehe
Fruitbat dragon! Bats are actually kinda cute IRL too~
