Having trouble interpreting the G8 to G3 conversion instructions

...I recently purchased the G8 - G3 character converter (for both genders) but an having difficulty with the instructions for setting up the target folder and converting a character

All my Daz content is on a separate drive from C: I also don't use the "Daz3D/MyLibrary folder save for storing scenes and scene subsets.  The "top end" directory on my setup for all content is "D:/Daz3D/Studio4/Library./...."   The instructions says to create the output folder on a top level directory such as / People/Genesis3/Female/ Characters.  However in he setup I have there is no "/" between Genesis 3 and "Female". The manual then says "It Is Highly Recommended that you select the "Daz 3D/Studio/My Library" and create a Genesis3/Female/Characters folder there.  Sounds like I'm getting two different sets of instructions for the same operation.

Next it mentions that for adding a character to the input list I am to to use the "Add Files" or "Add Directory" to "select character presets from the library  When I click on the first one I get an empty "Presets" folder under Daz 3D/My Library/Presets and there are no G8 characters there to convert.  Shouldn't one go to People/Genesis 8[F/M]/Characters folder to find these?

It seems like a major step for the conversion process is missing.

You just need to place it in a seperate folder to keep from accidently overwriting anything.  So mine are in People/Genesis 8 Female/Conversions.  Then add file by selecting a duf file if yours are on seperate drive you will have to navigate to that folder  mine are in F:\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 8 Female\Characters

...so I have to create the destination folder in Windows in the Daz/Studio4/Library/People/Genesis3 Female folder then as it didn't seem to work using the script. Also how do I even pull in a G8 character to convert, there's nothing in the instructions PDF that seems to explain that.  Do I need to have the base character opened in the viewport first?

Also once converted to G3 can I use G3 morphs on, and combine other G3 shapes with it?

Yes you will need to create a folder where ever you want it to go.  You want a new empty scene, run the script set the output to the folder you want it to go to.  Select Add File goto your People/Genesis 8 Female/Character folder,  scroll down below any folders you have in there and select the character.duf file you want to use.  (If you do Add directory it will try to convert all duf files in that folder)  Select the character in the list you want to convert (it will highlight yellow)  then do the Execute from Selected button.

I am working off the G3F to G8F so its possible its a little different I don't know the 8 to 3 script.

...thank you.  I wish the instructions mentioned that.

So I created the output folder "Rynne 3", then went to "People/Gensis8 Female/Characters/Rynne 8", but there was nothing to transfer Below the folder list there were just the .duf files for the base G8F and G8.1F figure.   Are those what I need?

...was my last post removed?  I didn't get a email notice about that and I really need help on this matter as the instructions that came with the product seem to not explain all the needed steps very well. This is usually the forum for addressing such matters.
