Continuous rig?

Is it possible to make a rig (or a section of a rig) a continuous circle?

I have a shape that looks sort of like this, where = is a bone parenting two siblings, and Y is where I would like to re-join the bones:

   _ _ _ _ _ = _ _ _ _

   = _ _ _ Y _ _ _ =

_ _ _ _ Y _ _ _ _

Is this possible?

Many thanks
Deslea

not AFAIK in DAZ, I can sort of in Carrara by adding a track modifier to both bones in all axis and transforms, is something that frustrates me in DS when I want figures to ride bikes, skip ropes etc

It depends what you are trying to do. For example, a piston might look as if it forms a circle - say two hinged plates, with one parented to the other, and a piston attached with one end on the parent plate and one on the child plate, but that can be faked by making one half of the piston a cylinder attached to the parent and the other a separate cylinder attached to the child then setting the two cylinders to point at each other. Similar tricks might enable you to at least get close to your goal.
