Animation - Sit on chair (help)

I'm using 'google translate' - I'll try to be clear

I'm trying to do an animation with Genesis 8 - from the idle (standing) position to sit on a chair. However, by almost all means (that I know of - moving the pelvis on the Y axis by pinning - feet) they (feet) keep going into the plane (floor) during the animation execution - from point A (standing) to point B (sitting).

I also tried using the 'active pose', however, without success, as when I try to move the pelvis in just one axis (Y) nothing happens.

I would like any suggestions on how to resolve this if possible.

Thank you in advance.

There's a reason nobody uses Daz Studio for animation, and you've just stumbled upon it.

Unless you're keen to manually animate forward kinematics for every single frame, export to Blender and do your animation there.

     Hi

Thanks. But i use DAZ to do a lot of animations and this software is excelent to do it. Unity, for exemple, have a automatic retarget to DAZ Genesis 8 (or any character). its native on Unity this option. Walk, run, jump, whatever, i can do on DAZ easly and fast, in my way. Daz is just perfect to me. I just need know a way to freezy this 'foot' movement, just it. And yes, i can create a key in every single frame, is fast and easy to do it on DAZ.

    Thanks anyway,

In the Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials there is  Chair Animation for sitting on a chair.

Yes, and its amazing. I watch into in this morning here. But I want to make my own animation (even to fix problems related to the hands in this animation you mention - they get into the body). That's why I'm thinking about redoing this animation to the parameters I want.

Please learn not to indulge in hyperbole - it is manifestly untrue that no one uses Daz Studio animation, and the gross overstatement merely serves to blunt any reasonable criticisms you may make.

yes  Yes this is terrific. You can make a little plane for each foot to target as well.

well, the feet was underground during sitting, but finally it is on the ground after sit down, so my suggestion is, in middle frame which has the lowest Y position of the feet, drag the Genesis 8 people to let his feet just on the ground, then you can see the feet almost on the ground during the whole sitting procedure.

If you want to adjust it more accurate, maybe this tutorial can help:
