Anyone picked this up yet, I'd be interested in seeing some renders. Aran sweaters are traditionally chunky, and I doubt much good with dforce, but the promos look a lttle .... flat. I don't think they are painted on shadows, but I'd be interested to see what other can do and if they can boost up the normals, before I pull the trigger.

I don't have that but I do have one in my wardrobe and it looks just like that. I did think the neck, cuffs and waistband were a bit thin though. In saying that I have seen modern ones that are very light compared to mine, which was hand knitted years ago.
you could use the mesh thickner product on it I suppose
Thanks - I did pick up the mesh thickener last week and was thinking about that but it was more the cable stitch I think looks a bit flat and I'm not sure the thickener will help that.
Still interested in seeing some renders
I agree that the texturing doesn't hold up to close scrutiny, those are almost certainly baked-in shadows. Perhaps it would help to increase displacement.
I still like the product, I put it on my wishlist. How else am I gonna get my Chris Evans Aran fantasy?
yeah iray you are limited, 3Delight would give it awesome displacement
I was disappointed when checking out the promos that the collar had some depth applied, but the cuffs and waste were infinitely thin and straight.
+ 1. Also have mine from the time I lived in London; got mine in Edinburgh though; it was from a budget shop so it wsn't as pricy as more upscale labels. Still holds up well. And yes, it is thick, though not as thick as my vintage LL Bean Fair Isle.
DAZ needs this tech![wink wink](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)
I have one with an almost identical pattern but pink, pure lambswool my late Mum knitted
(she knitted 3 of them, one for my Auntie-her sister, my brother tan not pink and me)
I knitted a matching beanie which took me as long as the jumper and I had to keep asking Mum for help messing up my yarn forward slip one etc, pass one over etc making screwy cables!
and I didn't have another cable needle so used a crochet hook which I always needed handy to pick up my dropped stiches!
