Best way to edit M4/Genesis textures seamlessly

Editing textures in Photoshop is the only way I know how to edit textures for M4 and Genesis1/2
But it's extremely hard to do without UV seams...
Anyway to edit them on the target model?

Yes, with a 3D paint program...something like Blacksmith3D, 3D Coat, Mudbox...even Zbrush and some modeling programs like Blender will do it, too.

Photoshop can also do 3D painting, depending on which version u are using (though it can be very slow depending on the tool).

What you want to do is called "polypaint" in Zbrush. It takes a while to setup if I remember correctly, I don't know how well you know Zbrush.
