I made a belt, but how do I fit it to Gen 8 Female?

I want to start making custom clothes for Daz Studio, so I started by making a very simple belt in Hexagon. Then I sent it to Daz Studio. When it appears in Daz Studio, it shows up on my figure just right.

But if I set my figure to a pose, the belt stays where it was. So how do you make it stay on the figure? I can't find an option to make it fit to her.

Simply parenting it to the figure's waist might be enough.

Another option would be to turn it into conforming clothes using the transfer utility.
