help Please

I am new and I need some advice
I want to produce some realistic 3d of Erotic characters...I want to produce some very good erotic female characters and I'm not yet so interested in the scenery...Without going thru the trial and error Can You recommend the best plugins for making the female erotic characters.
Remember I am completely new but have gone thru the software with the newbie videos.
Any help would be much appreciated
thanks

I don't think you need any plugins. Just search the shop for freebies - there are many at the moment - get them and follow the tutorials inside DS. Interactive lessons will guide you through. There is a bikini of high quality in one of them plus hair and even a more curvaceous shape for Gen2F.
Oh, remember DAZ forums will not help you with erotica - it is not allowed. The same goes for renders.
For making erotic stuff you may gain ideas and products from renderotica's site.
Erotica is is any artistic work that deals substantively with erotically stimulating or sexually arousing subject matter, doesn't mean is has to have nudity or be porn, so technically it is allowed as long as it is tasteful and follows the TOS.
To the OP, I would go with GF2 and her morphs and follow Franks suggestion also as they have some great addons that make a world of difference. Remember, it's all about artist's talent, the lights and the posing more than the figure..
Yes I agree....this isn't meant to be nudity or porn just beautiful females...so the curves and equipment needs to all be there...
I couldn't find any freebies in the daz shop
thanks much guys...any more suggestions

You have Genesis and Genesis 2 male and female included in Daz Studio
To add to those you will need to invest in some morph packs to add variety to your figures.
At a minimum you need
http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-female-morphs-bundle
and the equivalent for G2M
http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-male-s-morphs-bundle
And there is this one for Genesis If you decide to use that figure.
http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-evolution-morph-bundle
You do need to invest some money in order to get the best out of the free figures that come with DS.
Thanks for the information my friend...I do intend to invest some money--just dont want to wasted it on things I dont need
again thanks

Did you get like 20+ items before reading my post?
The easiest thing is to sort the shop with the price filter (low to high). I believe you will need Gen2F head and body morphs as mentioned and, should you want to use morphs for V6, V6. The same for any character listing another major shape (like, say, G6).
Remember you don't have to use Gen2F. Genesis is a very good figure with even more versatility (that's why we use Genesis for creatures, because you can swap morphs made for the other gender). Most characters made with Genesis will require Evolution Morphs, Creature Creator and possibly V5 or M5. That's why I'd like you to tell us whether you will primarily use Genesis or Gen2F.
And I still don't get how you understand "erotica". I don't know where you come from, but in Europe, it strictly translates to what "the other Rendo" sells. Dressed women would be just portraiture, pinups at most.
Is erotica this: http://www.daz3d.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/0/6/06-daz3d_daz-studio-4.8-iradium_.jpg? Or this: http://www.daz3d.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/q/u/queengown-0.jpg? Because if you treat it like that, then you are fine here :). But if it is like the other Rendo, then no... The site has rigid rules of being family-friendly. Also, tell us what you mean by equipment.
What I mean is what they sell right here in the Daz 3 shop...the models and clothes they sell right here in Daz3.
Is that OK? Anything sold here in the "Shop" is Ok right? Thats what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about any sort of Nudity.
Take for example Victoria 4 and her bundles are ok right?
thanks

A straight question will give you a straight answer, but it's hard to do so when we're not sure what sort of items you're looking to get.
For example, I love my post-apocalyptic stuff. So, I'll always be on the lookout for rundown buildings, deserted cities and rubble. I also do plenty of renders using children, so cute outfits, hairstyles and character morphs which make figures youthful are eagerly hunted down by myself.
In short, if there's a particular theme to your goals it may be best to express them so we can point you in the right direction. There is a lot of varying content in the Daz 3D store, which includes everything from Amazon women to anthropomorphic turtles. If you have a theme you can narrow down your search significantly.
As mentioned by others, Genesis is one of the most versatile figures going and Genesis 2, it's evolution, separates the male and female bases to give you greater detail and better morphs overall. If you're looking to make beautiful figures, I'd aim for Genesis 2. Character packs will almost invariably include different skins for the figure, so you can shop around for the best ones. In particular, the HD morphs for Victoria 6 include some of my favourite textures.
Give us an idea of the sorts of things you're looking for, or even a 'shopping list' and we'll help give you an idea of which items will give you the best value per dollar.
Listen, I took your advice and downloaded the Genesis Evolution: Morph Bundle $32.95
I used the Daz install manager....
I see that two things show up in install manager Genesis Evolution; Body Morphs Genesis: Evolution Is this what I ordered?
When I bring up the Gen2 Female I have the shaping tool and edit and All and I am not seeing the Morph package at all. I think it is just the package that comes with Daz3...
When I ordered the bundle package and hit download didn't it automatically download it into my daz 3d?
Any help would be appreciated as I learn this software
thanks

If you want to use Genesis 2 Female then you should have bought the Genesis 2 female morphs bundle I linked you to. I did make it the first link as you had said G2F.
Genesis is the original base figure in the Genesis line Genesis 2 is the newer and more advanced one.
Morphs for one will not work on the other, they each have their own morph packages.
You can return the product that you bought and explain that you bought the wrong one, and ask for a refund, as long as you do it withinn 30 days of the purchase.
DIM should install any package for you as long as you tell it to "download and Install"
Hey thanks for the info...
I am learning slowly...
I put in for a refund and will purchase the right version...
thanks my friend

Eegle, don't worry about your mistake - the people at DAZ support board are very friendly and helpful, so when they get to your request, you will get your money back. In the meantime, there is always a description of the requirements and what figure (if any, as props are mostly standalone) the item was designed for. I'd advise you to get yourself a free pack of morphs originally created by DieTrying and then converted by Sickleyield:
http://www.sharecg.com/v/73186/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/DieTryings-182-Morphs-for-Genesis-2-Male
http://www.sharecg.com/v/72792/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/DieTryings-182-Morphs-for-Genesis-2-Female
http://www.sharecg.com/v/58198/favorite/21/DAZ-Studio/DieTryings-182-V4-Morphs-for-Genesis
They will come in handy very frequently and not blow your budget. It's not that they will make the sold morphs redundant, but surely, you will benefit from having them.
thank you very much for your kind response....
You are very helpful

Don't forget, the Freebies page updates pretty much every week on Wednesday. (pretty much) You may need to purchase a base model or something along those lines but all in all they have been pretty decent, and I have been collecting since 2009. ;)
This is the case with weekly and PC+ freebies. The Thrilling Twelve from the freebie page I linked to are usually bi-weekly and they appear on Tuesdays.
Eegle, tell me: what genre are you most interested in when it comes to your dreamed 3D? Modern, fantasy, SF, steampunk, maybe historical? It will help us a lot if we learn what you like. For instance Wilmap has outstanding contemporary clothes available for free.

Eegle:-)
You are too kind :). We have all been through the starting stage and considering how expensive 3D may be, hunting for freebies is something everyone must learn as quickly as possible. We are pleased to help that. There is a wiki combining most freebies, Genesis, Gen2F and Gen2M have their own categories there. Plus many assets for older figures can be fitted to Genesis, Gen2F and Gen2M - the first one relies on V4, M4, A4, H4, G4, F4, S4, S3, F3, A3, H3, V3, M3 and David shapes (which often go on sale, so there is no need to buy them full-price). Gen2F often requires V4 for Gen2F to fit clothes and hair, Gen2M - M4 for Gen2M. They go on sale repeatedly too.
Please, tell me what genre you're interested in. It will help us tailor the information to your needs.
Far more to the point, here on the DAZ 3D forums there is a Freepository, which contains many threads by freebie providers and a compilation of the the freebie list threads that have been compiled, so there is really no need to leave the environs of DAZ 3D and still find what freebies there are and where they are at, It also contains a request thread, where you can request freebies, or the whereabouts of exisiting freebies.
I believe Eegle has already discovered the forum. The definite pro of the wiki is that every registered user can add links, whereas in Freepository, each author of each compilation is the only one - except for the mods - capable of updating their threads.
The best thread Freepository has, one every user should consider subscribing to, is Limited-Time Freebie Alert Thread. It is strongly advisable to follow it.
The freepository is moderated and all dodgy links are removed (when found), plus it is spam free. Wiki's can be added to by anyone, as you say, and are not moderated in the same way as our forums, so that they are not as safe to use.
And I must add this
Although Freebies are indeed useful, they are but an adjunct to the vast amount of quality content that is available from the store, and indeed some freebies do give New Users more problems than the Commercial content.
Daz 3D freebies are prepared to the same standard as Commercial content, as they are indeed Commercial products which are available at 100% discount for limited periods.
It was content like this which was the original purpose of the limited time freebie thread as (and I quote)
Plus this is all going away from the original topic of this thread, as the OP did state that he was interested in female figures and characters, particularly those that were based on G2F and was not really interested so in the scenery and background props etc.
Quick question just to make sure of this... I went to the Daz3 "freebies"
I downloaded DMR Alahna
It says I will need
Victoria 4.2 Morphs++
I will also have to purchase Victoria 4 also RIGHT? for this to work
I'm seeing many products depending on Victoria 4 so it might be smart to purchase it
I'm thinking then I will need Victoria 4.2 Morphs++ along with Victoria 4
By the way, I am thinking of creating Pin-up Art to start with and then venture into more complex projects
Thanks for you help
DMR Alahna is a character for Victoria 4.2 - to fully use her as designed you'll need Victoria 4.2 and the Victoria 4.2 Morphs ++. However, Genesis 1 can use Victoria 4 or Michael 4 skin textures without any additional products (not sure of the same applies for Genesis 2 Female). The V4 morphs can be transferred to Genesis or Genesis 2 Female with the right plugins (I forget what they're called, sorry). So you can use part of Alahna with Genesis 1 without further investment, but you can't use all of her without Victoria 4.2 and her Morphs++, or using one of the plugins to transfer those morphs to Genesis or Genesis 2 Female. Regardless, I've found that one can never have too many characters, regardless of the figure they're created for, especially if they're free. :)
Apologies if your focus isn't Genesis 1, that's my figure of choice and where my experience lies. Hope this helps.
You could use the textures on Genesis, or on Genesis 2 Female with the Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female product, but if you wanted the full character shape and skin then yes you would need the base Victoria 4.2 and the morphs.
What is a good idea is to spot V4 and M4 plus their Morphs++ on sale (possibly A4, H4, maybe even S4, G4 and F4 since some morphs require them), pick up GenX2 and Genesis 2 Addon for it. Then you can transfer nearly every morph to Genesis and then Gen2F and Gen2M, so that you can have cute morphs from Generation 4 with the bending improvements and asset flexibility of Genesis and up.
In the shop, is there a morph you are particularly eager to use? For instance, the new African couple, Monique and Darius, could add a lot of diversity - they come with non-Caucasian skins (Caucasian textures are easier to find, even your base content has five), poses and, of course, their shapes. Olympia is a beautifully versatile, realistic beauty of a whole new lwvel of realism - she isn't skinny and you can always dial every shape partially.
Ah, to use Alahna's skin on Gen2F, you need V4 for Gen2F. The same would apply to a character for M4 if you wanted to use the skin on Gen2M - M4 for Gen2M would be needed. Genesis can use V4, M4 and K4 UVs out of the box. Gen2F can use V5 UVs, Gen2M - M5. Remember you can use the figures together.
I suspect there is a way to convert skins when you have them on Genesis, save them and apply to Generation 6. However I don't remember the steps.
thanks for the advice...
I went ahead and purchased the Vic 2 and the morphs
When bringing up the figure she is wearing a blue top and bottom...
Is there a way to get rid of that for different clothing and morphs to her body that come with the package...
I would rather shape the body and then put on the clothing... Does this make sense?
thanks
eegle
This might be of help
http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/start
THIS HAS TO DO ONLY WITH THE VICTORIA 4.2
With all the other people or characters gen, gen 2 male and female they come with the model plain...we add everything including morphs of the body...
This Vic 2 comes with a blue top and bottom...it is not a plain form...when you with the morph +2 it morphs with this blue bottom and top over the morph...and all the wardrobe I add is over the top of this...
Is there any way to shape this vic 2 starting with the plain form like the rest of the characters
Hope this makes sense THIS HAS TO DO ONLY WITH THE VICTORIA 4.2
thanks
eegle
You need to change her skin. People>Victoria 4>Materials>Sample Res>All Natural NG
This is a very basic skin though with no details, not even nipples.
You would be better off finding a good V4 character skin. This is one I found quickly for you to try, it is free

and another by the same artist
