Export as obj; import into 3D package (I use Blender).
If you're using strands, select the geometry editor before exporting. Make sure you export any obj at base resolution.
As you can see in the image, a custom morph I made for a dforce strand hair (Dforce Soft Curls): applied and not.

If an item has a differences in left and right, try scaling on the X asix to -100, it might work; it does, just tried. That might give you what you need.

I didn't know you could create morphs for strandbased hairs or the geometry editor trick either
if I export with line tesselation they are huge!
