Hoe can I remove the stripe from Punkish Punisher boots?

Punkish Punisher boots have a neon/pastel stripe underneath, on the inside of the heel, that makes them look fake. This does not appear to be a surface zone that I can modify. Is there some trick to make this stripe on the bottom of the boot black like it ought to be? I would like to do this in Daz Studio if possible, not Photoshop.

If someone doesn't chime in with a better solution, there's always the geometry editor. Select the offending pixels and make them a matt zone of their own, Then apply a shader.
If you decide you'd rather go the Photoshop route, modify the texture file and save it as a different name in the same folder. Then hit the 'Browse" button for the diffuse in the surfaces panel and manually choose your modified texture file.
I don't have the boots so I hope someone will step in and give you an definitive answer but it looks to me like its a separate material. If you look compared to the Dragon set it seems like they have an emission added to them. Unfortunately was not able to verify with the file list cause the creator did not add separate presets for that area.
And thinks for the reminder, I thought I had wishlisted these and didn't!
I'll take a stab even though I can't see it directly. If you can't make a selection zeroing in on that area with the subsurface selection tool then your best solution is to edit the texture map. Runtime/Textures/Punkish/Punisher Boots/Adventure/Adventure_BaseColor.jpg <---- there's five files like this for the 5 different looks when I looked at the File List (from the Read Me next to the SKU). If you look at one of those you'll probably have your answer.
You could always message the vendor too. Just don't mention "that makes them look fake". Personally I think it's a nice feature however the ability to make that section of the boots the same color as the boot base (black) probably would have been a good choice to have had for the product as a whole but that's just me.
Not really sure but this might help. I just did a quick search and found that in the forums - https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/166896/the-material-zone-tutorial-favorite-shaders-materials
Quote from the thread: If you've ever experienced these thoughts about material zones, materials, or shaders- this thread will be fun for you...
"Oh great. That's not a separate material zone."
Dang... Who you callin' "hoe"?...
Okay that was my contribution to this conversation... I'll see myself out now.
