Daz studio weight mapping - preventing another part influicing a mesh

Hello there,

I'm really stuck at the moment. I converted an item of V4 "intimate" clothing to G8F - I scaled, used morphs and got a great fit before importing it and using the transfer utility.
That normally doeas good job with the weight mapping. However I have one issue -The thighs are "stretching" the crotch area which I don't actually want. In fact I'd sooner have it ignore all thigh movements altogether.
Do I go into the mesh editor and assign all the thigh groups to pelvis?
I'm sure I did that on another project and there still seemed a weight map influence.
Alternately what do I need to do in weight mapping to stop the thighs stretching the mesh?
I am not that skilled on this side of things lol!

Regards

Steve C

    You select weight paint mode.

Select the bone from the clothing in the scene tab, you want to have the weight.

In tool settings, select General weights

In the viewport the clothing should be colored red-blue-grey.

Then paint the wanted area red (Red = 100%, Grey =0%)

Alternatively you can subtract weight from the offending bones.
