new labels [solved] i.e. forget this thread or delete it, not longer following

so... i opened my product library today, and i noticed the new possibiity to add labels to the products. it might have been there a while already, i'm not observant at all, but i just saw this today. seems it's part of yet another site redesign, like this ugly recent left side bar in the shop with the submenus - another fail. is there a special webinar somewhere to learn how to fix stuff that ain't broken?

anyway, having labels in the product library might be useful - especially if i feel like labelling over 2000 products that i own and know, but yeah, a possivility to oreder things is always positive... even if i have no use for it personally. this is not what is disturbing and irking me...

BUT... was this really necessary, when there still is NO POSSIBILITY TO USE LABELS IN OUR WISHLISTS,  a thing that worked perfectly fine with daz deals until the new site redesign KILLED it? is it possibile for once to not kill useful features, and no add useless ones? or at least, when you add such a feature, to use one's brain a bit and also add it where many of us would actually appreciate it? *facepalm* *headdesk* *wallbang*

    I feel for you. Daz is doing a great job at reducing my purchases and saving me money.

    Xfinity just did this to my on their mobile apps. I hate the current iteration and it is a nightmare to use on the phone.

    IT folks, please remember this, test a change out with a group to see what it does before you release it into the wild. Or that cute little idea of a pussy cat may turn in to a ravaging beast of a sabretooth cat destroying your day.

    i really look forward to the day when AI will do the jobs still done by human in the IT department. it can be 2 things: wayyyyy worse and not customer-oriented at all, since well, AI are basically computers and apparently still not able to understand us or feel like we do... or surprise, if they get our needs wayyy better and create useful things that we actually appreciate. as terry pratchett said (or is supposed to have said, you never know with those popular quotes): "real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time", so no idea if AI will annoy us even more, or maybe less... 

    EDIT: yeah, sabertooth is what i feel like every time some bug feature of that kind gets implemented, raaawwwr

    I think it was update to the DAZ Deals add-on that added the labels.

    exactly. and it worked, and it was cool. on the other hand... go back to my above post, rinse and repeat.

    @maneKiNeko, I fear what you call "labels" is not part of the official "website improvements" but the new feature of @Ati 's updated add-on.

    OMG... i just made a monumental f*-up. you're right, i went to their site... i am sooo embarrassed. well, i just made a total fool of my grumpy, grinchy self, and managed to insult both the daz IT team... AND Ati + team. way to go! instant idiot, just add water. blame people for stuff they didn't even do, and bash the work of those who worked their asses off for free. what an imbecile i am. and i am also soo sorry, deepest apologies, not on my knees but flat on the floor, for my rude and ignorant behaviour towards both teams...

    that's what happens when you're a frustrated angry soul, a nagging complainer of sorts, with a big foul mouth (well, fingers since i write...) who barks before they even know what's going on. cuz i bookmarked their thread but never read the news.
    and instead of rejoicing and going woooow so cool finally the labels are back and now they're everywhere... i just... aaaargh.

    and now i'll leave myself out, i'm gonna go hide unter a rock.

    The new version of the browser addon brought back the labels. Daz no longer natively supports them.

    Unfortunately, we had to rush the new version out because the store change broke some major functionality of the existing addon. So there may still be some issues with it.

    Please post any comments and suggestions in https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/454726/announcing-daz-deals-browser-add-on-ii#latest because I can't read any other topics at the moment. Quite frankly, I'm on the verge of a breakdown; I honestly don't understand why the store needed to be changed right before Christmas. :-/
