Zeddicus PU Truck poses with different truck?

I want to use Zeddicis' Pickup Truck poses with a different truck and then adjust them, but the poses are throwing an error because they;re heirarchical and have to have the G8 character parented to the truck. This is extremely limiting and renders the pose pack useless to me. Is there some way around this?

    Do you have the trck? if so you could apply the poses, then save a regular pose preset from the figure.

     I don't want the truck. I'll never use it. This is prohibitively limiting from an end user perspective.

    It's probably possible to edit the .duf files to remove the dependency, but it's not something I've ever tried. You may want to request a refund.

    yeah the pirate animations peed me off as I ended up having to buy the specific props needed, all things I had better versions of already

    For what it's worth there are dozens of threads on similar problems: people unable to use hierarchical presets (or having to jump through a dozen hoops to do so) because of the silly restrictive way they were implemented. I hope the extent of this problem has finally reached the developers so they decide to fix this. Too many annoyed customers for good business.

     

    So I finally bought the truck to accomodate the poses, but it consistently causes DAZ to crash. Now I can't use the truck OR the poses. Outstanding. (insert scowl here)

    Not sure what this issue is here:

    You picked up a pose pack that stated the z pickup truck was a requirement - then seem to wonder why it does not work without the required prodcut. The product page clearly states the poses are hierarchical.

    As to your second point about the pickup truck asset crashing I can understand that would get annoying. Can you post the log file of the error it generates as I may be able to work out the issue.

    I have used the poses and truck many times. I have also used the pose with the truck and then unparented the figure and removed the truck and loaded another vehicle without issue.

    As per Richard's suggestion I will see if I can find the dependency is the .duf file and what happens if it is removed. Richard's other suggestion of requesting a refund might be the next best option..
