Have you always used DIM, or just recently?
If you start DIM, go to the Installed tab, select one of the missing items, right click and select 'Show Installed Files'. That will show you where DIM has installed them to. By default DIM installs to C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library, do you have that listed in Preferences?
Thank you for your reply:
I have my DAZ 3D Library in an external hard drive and it's been fine until now......so I've checked what you said and found out that on its own Daz have changed the path in preferences and get back to the default one....
so I changed it back and despite it is all ok now, the Dim and and the Daz preferences are the same, after I install an item I still only see the name of the item but there is nothing inside in the content library....
Still nothing....I've also installed daz 4.8
Are you still using Valentina/CMS, or have you installed PosetgreSQL using DIM?
Can you find the items in the Content Library pane under DAZ Studio Formats or Poser Formats using the path that DIM says it installed to?
Does your Smart Content pane work?
Can you please post a screenshot of your Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager showing the expanded listing for both DAZ Studio and Poser Formats?
about Valentina/CMS and PosetgreSQL
I have those things to install: screenshot
should i install them?
I've found the items in the Content Library pane under DAZ Studio Formats or Poser Formats using the path that DIM says it installed to
and they work....
the smart content with the old items works....
Please just hold on for a short time.
I am trying to get a fellow Mac user to help you
sure, thank you very much!
Was DAZ Studio open when you installed?
yes it was but then I closed it and re-opened it
to be sure I just uninstalled the item and reinstalled keeping it closed - same story
now I'm gonna install PostgreSQL CMS and see what happens...
Looks like it's all working now, I've installed PostgreSQL CMS, Reset the Database and reimport it, check again that in content directory manager the "my daz 3d library" path was correct and deleted and reinstalled the last items that were not working....now when I install it's ok
thank you very much for your help Jimmy & Richard !
