DAZ Studio 4.16.0.3 crashes when I try to open a file

Yesterday, I made a portrait, saved it as a .duf and rendered it as a .jpg. Today, DAZ Studio crashes whenever I try to open it the .duf. It crashes with other older scene files as well, although it does successfully open some of my older scenes. Has anyone any ideas? Thanks to one and all. And Seasons Greetings.

Are there common elements, as far as you can recall, to the scenes that crash compared to the ones that load? What is your Viewport drawstyle?
The problem is intermittant. Sometimes it crashes, sometimes it doesn't. The problem vanishes if I open the file that previously crashed DS immediately after successfully opening another file. Go figure. Compliments of the season.
