Morphs not working in DS4 (Terraformers) [SOLVED]
Terraformers are a several sets of morphing terrains. I extensivly use them as ground planes and have used them in 100+ scenes, creating renders in Studio 2.3 and Studio 3.1. (moreover this content works fine in any version of DS 1.7 to 3.1 and Poser 5 and up).
After loading a terrain in Studio 4.7 none of the morph dials works, the same happens when I load a scene (.daz) created in Studio 3.1.
Since 4.7.0.12 (x64) is my first DS4 installation I can't say anything about the behaviour of 4.x below this version.
So far i tried the following...
1st step:
Loaded the file (cr2) in Studio 3.1, saved it as .daz scene.
Opened in Studio 4.7 none of the morphs worked.
2nd step:
Loaded the scene file (.daz) in Studio 3.1, exported as .cr2 file.
Opened in Studio 4.7, everthing works fine (so far)
3rd step:
Since I thought step 2 was working, I repeated step 2 with more source files. The result is that 1 out of 10 works fine, the other half has no working morphs or does not even show a geometry (blank viewport).
Even more curious I now have 3 files:
DinoCliff.cr2 - the original one
DinoCliff2.cr2 - exported yesterday
DinoCliff3.cr2 - exported today
Loaded in DS 4.7:
DinoCliff - Loads but morphs are not working
DinoCliff2 - Loads and morphs fine
DinoCliff3 - Loads but does not show the geometry
I wanted to switch to DS4 because I really like the 'Look at my Hair' plugin. Now I found that nearly all of my environments created in Studio 3.1 do not work in Studio 4.7 because they load with broken morphs or missing/invisible geometries.
I now spent two days trying to find out what's going wrong, checking the log files, inspecting the cr2 files with PoserFileEditor, importing and exporting from various Poser versions - but could not find anything that clearly tells me what's going wrong.

Got it working now. The 'invisible geometry' files are the working ones.
During conversion new values are add to the parameter 'texture tiling', if this one is set to 'default shape' and not 'terrain_1' (or higher) the geometry is invisible.
Step by step how I converted the files:
1. Load the .cr2 in Studio 3.1
2. save as .daz scene file
3. ensure the morphs are working
4. export as new .cr2 file
5. load the new .cr2 file in Studio 4.7
6. set the parameter 'texture tiling' to 'Terrain_1' or higher
7. save as .duf scene subset
Nevertheless I still wonder why either loading the original .cr2 or loading a Studio 3.1 scene in Studio 4.7 breaks the morphs and the exported/imported .cr2 does not.
Further this workaround only helps to transfer the Terraformers figures to Studio 4.7, it's not really a solution when it comes to assembled scenes, as replacing and exact reshaping each Terraformer takes a lot of time.
