Hello. This is the first year I've done this in any forums, but I realized recently I can't have a guarantee, for whatever reason, of retaining after an amount of time passed(especially if longer) software products I invested time, or money, or both into getting. It should be a given in my opinion, but apparently isn't - for God knows why reasons. I'm notorious for getting something and letting it be and eventually might find some use for it(or maybe not, and/or not yet). And usually I don't really buy something if I don't intend to eventually use it. So finding out it's no longer available is a relative let down to an extend. Obviously I'm not spending more money into re-acquiring it and I will be more cuatious with a seller that doesn't retain it there(which I intended but having second thoughts on that, cause who knows what happens and if I can trust those entities now.
So, I never had such problems with Daz and all the stuff I bought, despite me worrying about it from time to time, they did retain in full all these years, to their honor. And I wanted to forward my thanks for them keeping my files intact and available and it's appreciated(and possibly a reason this is and has always been since I discovered it one of the favorite sites of mine to visit) and I also wanted to wish you, guys and gals at Daz, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year 2022!
(Which I don't normally do cause I don't know them, but I wanted to thank them for the services they keep providing all these years for me, even if I still haven't used alot of the stuff I gotten. But at least in Daz3d.com, I'll eventually have the theoretical opportunity to do so if and when I'll want to, as opposed to other sites out there where stuff I have gotten there was sadly lost. - P.S. If you want you can also contribute to the thread by forwarding your wishes, otherwise a reply and potential reasons for why things happened like that for this partcular issue are not needed nor wanted, I have plenty of my thoughts on the matter).

Always download all your products and keep the zips backed up somewhere just in case something does happen somewhere along the lines you will still have access to them all. If you want to do this the easiest way is to use DIM to install your products. It downloads the zips before installing and saves them or you have the option of having DIM delete the zips to save room on your hard drive. It is the quickest way to get them and to install your products because you can do literally hundreds at once. More if you or Daz has a stable connection. Here is a link to get DIM if you'd like to take that installation option.
That's one of the things I love about Daz. I had a bunch of free stuff I got back around 2009 and would pick up more stuff every few years (paid and free). I didn't have much use for Daz back then, so I was just collecting things for the day I'd eventually use the software, if I ever used it haha. When I started to get into rendering in 2018, I was surprised by how many assets I had waiting for me in my library. It was quite nice!
~ an interesting subject nonetheless ~
and _ Happy Holidays
