Editing Smart Content Folders - Shifting items around, creating new folders

Hello All,
I would like some assistance with editing how things show up in the Smart Content folder (I have version Daz Studio 4.15)
1) I would like to create categories (subcategories) on how wearables show up so I can separate my medieval style clothing from the modern clothing, etc.
2) I would like to take care of problems when an item is not installed in the right place, for example I bought this item here:
https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_68285/
For some reason, this item is not in any wearables folder. It was dumped in this folder:
/Default/Materials/Iray/Feminine/BodySuit Xfashion for Genesis 8 Female
I want it in
/Default/Wardrobe/Outfits
I can't seem to find what is the right way to do that.
Thank you,
Geo

It's all done with metadata. If you want something to show somewhere else, you have to change the metadata. Add or change the category(ies) you want. There are many discussions about metadata, and I believe there is a tutorial or two.
Short version: Open the Product view (Smart Content or Content Library) and right-click on the product of interest. Select Edit Metadata..., and go to the Assets tab. Select one or more items to change in the top half, then go to the Categories tab in the bottom half. Ensure "Sync Product and Local Database" is checked. Right-click on any one and select "Add Root Categories to Selected File(s)..." to use the pre-defined categories, or "Add Categories to Selected File(s)" for your own. You can then "Copy Categories to Listed Files" or select them all when adding the categories to start with. Note that anything added from a Product view will be considered Vendor data and marked Read-only. If the Auto-Export box is checked, it will save a new metadata file in the Support folder (if you need to re-import metadata at some point).
If you do it from the Content Library DAZ Studio Formats (or Poser Formats), the same process applies, but it is considered User Data and can be easily modified later. There, you must do one folder at a time, and it will not save a metadata support file. There is only the Assets view. Again, ensure "Sync Product and Local Database" is checked.
