Tobyn Head morph not working

I have added Baby Tobyn to my scene.

As you can see from the screenshot the figure is the right size but he still has the adult male head. How do I correct this?

I installed Tobyn with Install Manager.

  • I'm not sure you are getting anything but the scaling there. Is this applying the Character preset, or using it to load a new figure, or directly setting the slider?

I  used the character preset to load a new figure

  • All are working for me. If you check the log file just after loading (Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File) are there any errors relating to Tobyn?

I have noticed some warning messages :-

  • Does Tobyn really have dependence on Millenium Baby? Kind of weird, I think.

No idea what the trouble is, though.

/I was only in this thread to look at the picture of the weird baby...

  • I don't have that warning, nor do i see any sign of a *Baby morph, visible or hidden, on Genesis 8 Male. Is it possible that you have converted the Millennium baby shape from - I think - Genesis using one of the morph conversion tools or methods?

I don't think I have the Millenium baby unless it is included in a starter pack.

  • I think Genesis (1) may have had a Millennium Baby shape

That's "Millenium Baby 8", but yes it does look weird, as usually there is no "#whatever" after the file name in that location.

One would need to look at the code inside the morph file to figure out the problem.

How do I look at the code in the morph file?

The morph files are text files that can be opened even in Notepad, but a better program for opening them is Notepad++. Some morph files are compressed and in those cases they need to be uncompressed first with for example 7-Zip.

But... Tobyn was released in 2019 and at least I don't remember any threads about problems with him, I would start looking for the cause in how your content is installed.

    1. Which method do you use for installing content, DAZ Install Manager (DIM), DAZ Central, Manual installation or DAZ Connect inside DAZ Studio?
    2. Do you sign in/log in to DAZ Studio?
    3. How are your content libraries set up, take a snapshot of the content library paths in Content Directory Manager (see attached pics)
    3. Attach your log to your post with "Attach a file" above "Post Comment" button, the snippet you copied does not give enough information.

Edit, Before you do anything uninstall Tobyn and download/install a fresh copy from DAZ3D to make sure you have the latest version in case there has been an update at some point.

Ok, You have two nested libraries C:\Users\User\Documents\Daz 3D\Studio\Content" and "D:\Users\User\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\Applications\Data\DAZ 3D\My DAZ 3D Library" which are actually subfolders in another library "C:\User\Documents\Daz 3D\Studio". Nested libraries are known to cause problems, and also you have a warning in the log about these nested libraries.

If you navigate with Windows Explorer to the location "D:\Users\User\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\Applications\Data\DAZ 3D\My DAZ 3D Library\Data\Cloud\" do you have many subfolders there?

What is the complete path, where "DazStudio.exe" is located?

You didn't answer, if you log in/sign in to Daz Studio, but from your log I can see that you do - Stop doing that, see the attached pic, how to set up DS Preferences.
Logging in/Signing in to DS is only necessary when you are installing your content with DAZ Connect within DS, and if you are using DIM and manual installation, allowing DAZ Connect to operate by logging in to DS, can result in lot of problems with the content.

Unrelated to Tobyn, I noticed that the log is saying that you have 5.4GB's of memory (sounds weird and very small amount) - Is that correct?

    There are 3 subfolders - 1_9247, 1_13641 and meta

    The path is D:\Users\User\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\Applications\64-bit\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\DAZStudio.exe

That is the amount of space on my C Drive. There is more room on my D Drive but I don't know how to switch

So, you have Cheirocrates and Oremus installed by DAZ Connect, but that doesn't cause problem with Tobyn.
    http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/13641/start
    http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/9247/start

The 5.4GB's of memory is mentioned under Physical Memory, which means installed RAM - If your RAM should be more, you may have a problem with your memory chips
Mine says 63.8GB's and I have 64GB's of RAM installed on this computer.

What I would do, is go to "C:\Users\User\Documents\Daz 3D\Studio\Content" and move everything, all the folders and all the files into "D:\Users\User\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\" and remove "C:\Users\User\Documents\Daz 3D\Studio\Content" from the list of content libraries in Content Directory Manager.
I would also remove "D:\Users\User\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\Applications\Data\DAZ 3D\My DAZ 3D Library" from "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats" in Content Directory Manager - If you have DAZ Content installed in that location, you can move it to "D:\Users\User\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\"

Moving content manually is "quick and dirty" way of fixing your content libraries, the "Official" way of doing it would be to use the DIM to uninstall the products and then reinstall into the new location.
