Save Material Preset without saving the texture

Does anyone know how to save a material preset without saving its texture?
Like if you apply it on the other object, instead of replacing everything including the texture, the original texture will remain and in the correct node.
--- Just like the Iray Optimized Shader
Thanks a lot!

If you uncheck the Diffuse Color box when you save the preset, then the texture will remain put. If you want to change the Diffuse Color as well using the material preset then you will have to edit the .duf file itself in a text editor, like Wordpad.
Save the Material Preset uncompressed then remove the references to the texture from the file. Make sure the entire parameter between the curly brackets as well as the following comma is erased.
If you use the 4.8 beta the Materials Preset now allows you to save values and/or maps - there's a command in the option menu, the lined button half-way down the right edge of the dialogue, from which you can choose to select All values or All maps.
Even better! This looks like a useful advance.
Glad I found this. I've been racking my head thinking of an easy way to re-save the G2F iRay material without all the maps.

I did find one small oversight- while the maps don't get applied, if the preset is saved with maps present in the surfaces, the image_library references are still saved in the file (see screenshot).
I can't find it anywhere on the interface...?
It's in the Materials preset window's options panel as shown here.
