Current download of DAZ Studio has limited assets?

I downloaded DAZ Studio again to install it on my new computer, and it seems that there are much less assets included than in older versions of it. To begin with, no Genesis 1, 2 or 3 characters, or male characters, only seemingly a genesis 8 female. Only one set of clothes, no HDRI background... Did DAZ reduce the content in the free download, or did I do something wrong?

Did you install all the Essential packs? Sounds like you haven't install all the start stuff
All those characters are already in your library so DIM or whatever wouldn't flag them for redownloading unless they were updated, which they weren't AFAIK.
In your Product Library you can find the long list of content that D/S comes with: https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_13176
I guess that I misremembered. I thought that they were installed at the same time as DAZ.
My former hard drive is inaccessible, and possibly dead, so I'm going to reinstall everything from scratch, and there's nothing in my library apart from what was coming with the new install of DAZ (on top of it, I want to copy every asset I install in a different library organized my way, and in "categories" also organized my way, so I'll have to install elements one by one).
Also, I didn't know that assets could be flagged for "redownloading". I already redownloaded a number of assets when my previous hard drive died (again) and there was no issue.
The files you're liniking to don't come with the download of DAZ Studio itself. Apparently, I misremembered and believed that these assets were included in the basic download, while you're apparently supposed to install them separately.
If you're concerned about the program and any assets it comes with, try manual download and save to a disk, just in case of a crash. I learned that the hard way and now have all versions of Daz saved to disk, as well as each version of essentials there were given. I do the same thing for freebies and purchases..
