I grew up watching her on Golden Girls, and just the way she would tell St. Olaf stories was magical!  My mother grew up watching her on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and American game shows with Allen Ludden.  My mother said her true love was Allen Ludden, and said they are finally together after so many years (he passed in 1981).  Her passing is a terrible loss; a tragic end to a terrible year.  She was known for her charisma, kindness, and compassion.  She truly was a great treasure!

    Rest In Peace, Betty White.

She was one of my favorite actresses and would have been 100 on Jan 17th, such a shame she passed away.

My dad said something to me this morning about her passing.  I thought he'd read one of those clickbait articles.  I was at the store when my brother called and said it was all over the news.  Oh, how I wish it had just been a clickbait article.  sad   It felt like a punch to the gut.

RIP Betty.  One of the most entertaining and wonderful women I grew up watching on television and film.  I loved her humor.  She will be so missed.

  • From a long, successful history in television... to romancing Ryan Reynolds. What a lady.

Very sad to read that this morning - she was an unapologetic eternal optimist - we need more people like that. RIP

Betty White had a hugely productive life. I especially appreciated her constant work with animals. We have lost a champion for them.

  • RIP to one of the world's few treasures.

Wasn't she also in that movie about an immensely giant alligator that lived on her rural property?  Crazy lady feeding the local monster.  Maybe it wasn't her or maybe it's all just in my head, but she would have been perfect for the part.devil
