Hey,
maybe someone of you have an idea.
With strand based hair, I get some unwanted strands, which differs in color from the rest of the hair.
See screenshot.
Is there a way to get the hair color more consistency? I played around with the shaders, with no success.
But the shader is anyways the same.

Cant really tell from the small example image if its the same problem seen frequently but if it is try reducing the opacity of the selected hair to 0.99 in the sufaces tab.
This is a common occurance with an easy fix...
Strange, somehow my example image is gone.
I have an other issue. I see the same strains also an your example, but it's obvious with blond hair.
I just did an other example, you see a lot highlights and I think the hair shouldn't have these shiney strains. This happens with most Strained based hair, but not with the "traditional" hair.
You can try changing the tiling on all the surfaces to something like 50x horizontal or more.
You can try removing the texture maps from the surfaces and just use the standard colors.
