Is there an issue with dforce hair (cloth simulation) in ds4.16?
I got a new laptop for xmas that has an i7-11800h and an rtx 3060 gpu so I decided to try out the most current version of daz. The quality and speed of my rendering experience has improved in every way with the exception of my dforce hair that is cloth based. I normally use Linday's classic long hair, https://www.daz3d.com/classic-long-hair-with-dforce-for-genesis-8-females , and Biscuit's Kit hair, https://www.daz3d.com/biscuits-kit-hair-with-dforce-for-genesis-8-female , with my rendering, but the simulation time for them has slowed considerably and regularly fails. All my simulation settings are default. Is there an issue in ds4.16 or is it my laptop that has the issue? I have not yet tried strand based hair on the laptop.

What is set as the OpenCL device in the Advanced tab of Simulation Settings?

Bang on the money Richard! It was set to the onboard chip and not the gpu. That should do it. Thanks for the help.
