How can you create a wet spot on clothing?

For example, say I have a character who is wearing a white shirt. Then, a second character comes along and spills wine on it.

How would I create an arbitrarily shaped splotch (or at least apply a premade splotch) to that shirt to create a wet spot?

Ah! I think this is just what I need!
